Danger signs or traffic warning signs are a category of road or traffic signs that indicate a danger ahead on the road that may not be readily obvious to a driver. They usually take the shape of a equilateral triangle with a white background and a thick red boarder. The color of the background and the color and thickness of the boarder, however, differs from country to country. In some countries, danger signs have a diamond shape instead of the standard triangular shape. For example, in the united States, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, and Ireland,
danger signs are black on a yellow background and usually diamond-shaped.

Traffic warning signs shows that traffic lights are ahead, and are frequently used when it is difficult to see to see that a that a traffic light may be showing red already, in order to warn drivers to prepare to slow down. Some times flashing light or lighted sign may show that the traffic light is red or turning red.
