Byteball to change free distribution model

in byteball •  8 years ago

Byteball is changing their distribution model starting from next airdrop:

After August 7 we'll reach more than 50% distributed coins and will start a new phase of our distribution.
It was stated from day one that the purpose of this distribution is to get this coin into the hands of as many people as possible. Both coins (bytes and blackbytes) are meant to be used as currencies, and this is only possible when there are many users and apps to interact with. We already have a sizable community, a number of unique apps, and we are the only crypto project to have an app distribution platform (the Bot Store), but there is still a lot of room to grow in terms of user count, number of apps, and willingness of users to use these apps.

Thanks for sharing

I have to learn more about this.

Hey @ash ....can we put our share in this phase by any way......

great job

I just happened to sneak in before the end of this last distribution, but I screwed up on one of my paper wallets because I forgot about change addresses within the Ledger Nano S (doh't). I'll be ready to get some more next time. I was discouraged to discover the black bytes are only awarded for existing bytes, so I've missed out by not getting on this earlier. Oh well. It's an interesting project and I like the chat bot app stuff. Might have some legs, who knows. Also seems like there's a predictable dump each month after the distribution. For those who want to hold long, those might be good times to buy some up.

The dumps follow a pattern I suppose? It seems cryptos in general have very predictable curves, thoughnone mega event or two could disturb the flow momentarily, but those who study it have a certain degree of accuracy?

Im not really into byteball and all the cryotos around got me confused, byteball could be suffering the altcoin syndrome for years,.
Altcoin syndrome is when the coins dont get enough traction because of another overshadowing coin(bitcoin, etherium)

They have a monthly distribution. People get their Byteball and then dump them. Pretty consistent.

I sold everything after this one... as soon as they start with loyalty shit you know it's time to part ways in my opinion :)

Hahah! Yeah, not a bad plan, but at the same time, how else can they prevent "I sold everything"? I should have got in earlier, but I didn't want to mess with my paper wallets. Now that I've got the Ledger Nano, signing stuff is easy. I like how they are making crypto easy and social. They may still have a role to play so I may hold for a bit. Not sure yet.

Ok, byteball, too many coins, not enough explanation. Although i have seen and heard of byteball for a long time, bit with so many coins to cjoose from, i fear developers are scared to build for any one platform.

It's similar to IOTA (no blockchain) and should have a bright future therefore!
