I remember seeing suman balisungsong when I was young but lately I don't seem to see this kind of suman anymore from where I live. Maybe in other places they still sell this kind of suman.
Our theme for the cabalenchristmascountdown by @quatro is about suman which collectively refers to a Filipino delicacy wrapped and cooked in a leaf. Most commonly used leaves are bananas and palm. Usually sweet with coconut toppings.
This is a drawing I made of a suman balisungsong. The name balisungsong describes the shape of the suman which could be pyramid-like or conical. The main ingredient for this suman is glutinous rice.
