It's getting chilly down here in Texas. Here chilly means that the thermometer dared to dip below 75 degrees outside.
Yes, every year Texans step out to their first chilly morning only to freak out once again:
"What the fuck is this?! Oh God, is the world ending? Better give more of my hard-earned money to that billionaire televangelist."
I confess that I'm no different (except for that last part).
Steemit is down again, so I'm writing this on busy.org. It's actually a really great site and if Steemit keeps this up I might make the switch.
Also, podcasts.
S-town has captured my attention, Alice Isn't Dead has me hopeful after the first episode if not hooked, and No-Sleep is sure to be one of my go to podcasts. But somehow, space is still an issue on my phone. Which means I need to buy a huge micro-SD card. Luckily they're cheap. Unluckily I'm broke.
But worry not. I shall delete more and more so that I can add even more stuff to my virtual pile. Speaking of 'virtual piles', I've been digging through my hard drive and giving some old games a go. There's Yu-No: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World*, the best visual novel ever made. I've been replaying it intermittently through the months. But I'm much more into Hunie Pop, a fun little date-sim slash Candy Crush like (that might predate Candy Crush).
The other day my girl walked in and saw me playing it. I'd left it on because I had no intention of stopping just because she'd come and, I'll admit, a little to see her reaction. She just looked at the screen and said:
"Those are fun."
Well, I'm certainly not going to surprise this one from much that comes from the anime world.
I feel like a big chocolate cake. When I get to 2,000 followers and 20 regular comments per post, I'm going to see if I can't get someone to mail me a cake (I'll cover post). What's that you say? I can bake a cake for under 6 bucks and have it fresh? Well, I like this way better. No slice for you for questioning too much.
I jest. I could never deny you, [insert name].
Of course, by the time I have my blog in that position you might be able to just email me the damn cake. Hm. This talk has decidedly put me out of the mood to ask for cake, but has put me in the mood to devour several.
If you're a baker, send me your best. Your pound cakes, your chocolates, your marbles. Keep your homely coconut and other fruit infused cakes to yourself. When I want fruit wrapped in bread I shall do exactly that (and I don't plan on an apple sandwich anytime soon.). I shall devour them all.
Sigh.
If only life were an actual piece of cake. I'd have things handled.
