Today I was looking through images I took

When I visited Ankor Wat in Cambodia many years ago. I kept running across images I took of doorways. Looking into collapse, looking into quiet, looking into history. They just struck me as really interesting and I wanted to share :)

UPDATE

The amazing @snook decided to write a poem inspired by the third pic. :)

Check it out here

Whaaaaaat! Awesome photograpy sir! The colours in the bottom pic especially are amazing, very physcaldelic :) well worth a resteem!

Much appreciated! :)

My word, they are quite ancient aren't they? It's amazing that they remain, like milestones of history long past. Though decayed, they still hold their presence. I always imagine what it must have looked like when it was new and when it served it's original purpose; the people who used it and events it must have witnessed as it aged.

Yeah, I think that's why I shot them. They just felt so...alien...to my modern mind. I spent 3 days in those ruins just absorbing the vibe. Deep, old, spiritual... good stuff.

That must have been truly awesome :-)

It was...got so many pics and memories like that...now they're finally getting seen and heard :) I want others to feel that same feeling, and get the desire to have the same kind of adventures :)

These shots are phenomenal. I love the play of light and shadow and the depth of vision in each frame.

Thanks! I love how the light worked in some of those doorways as well. Each an entrance into a different kind of world...hehe.

I'm stealing the 3rd one down just so you know.......

it's now called .......hmmmmmm..........well I can not think of a name..........your the word guy so you can call it something errrrrrrrrr wordy.......but from now on it's mine.......just so you know LOLLLLLLLLL

Lol. Feel free to steel my doorways. I can only build them, you are the one that must choose whether or not to walk through ;)
