[Patent] Apple’s Bokeh; Google Pixel 2’s competitor?

Apple recently published a patent for single camera based 3D applications.

One of the main objectives is related to Bokeh, or Portrait mode.

The published patent’s title is ‘Image sensor with in-pixel depth sensing’

Its pixel is the exactly same as the existing metal-shielded PDAF pixels.
