Canada is Going All Out for the 150th Birthday Celebrations and Now the Twoony ($2 coin) is Making Lights.

Introducing ”Dance of the Spirit” Canada’s first Glow In The Dark coin high lighting the Northern Lights also known as the Aurora Borealis.

The Twoony (two-knee) is one of Canada’s most hated coins it’s also the biggest in circulation It just adds so much weight to ones pockets, I’d rather be carrying some weightless crypto in the same value.

Though this new limited edition of 3,000,000 $2 dollar coins is pretty cool and I hope to get my hands on some this summer and bring them back to China and show them off with Canada’s new commemorate 150th birthday penny. The twoony is cooler because I won’t need high tech specialized equipment to see nano-scopic etchings.

I know Canada could probably be spending their money a little better but when you come from a nation that is considered wealthy by many others with less; the government can squander more because they have better control of the poor people. So anyone who speaks out can heard but will be ignored in classic fashion after they gave them the right to speak out, that should be enough right? Cough

This is what it will look like when in the pitch black.

Well anyways Canada is great country. It’s clean and 90% of it is still pure wilderness with lakes and rivers you can still drink right out of. The government all 3 sides and the little green party with their one seat can be considered quite open minded when it comes to many other places; though I don’t always agree with the governments decisions I do know that it’s 1000 times better than tons of other places.

Our national animal is the Beaver. I am happy my google search of "Canadian Beaver" proved successful.

So mark July 1st 2017 on your calendar, it’s going to be a crazy day with tons of events and celebrations suitable for the partiers to the family, something for all. Make a trip of it if you’re not in the country, it’s a special year. I’ll be there at some point this summer but I will miss the big day, sadly. Luckily events are going all summer all across the country.

And here I thought Canada was just celebrating my birthday every year with fireworks. =D

haha. July 1st you say. You great B-day!!

Really? I am Canadian and I have yet to see these Twoonies. I took advantage of the National Park Free Entrance pass, and tried oh so desperately to get my son one of those VIA Rail passes for $150. But they sold out in like 6 hours. Thanks for the update solarguy

I want some so bad. If you get any extras I can hook you up!!

Are they seriously being put into public circulation? I live in small town Canada where my bank open's at 9:30 and closes at 4 and is only open during the week, the likelihood of me landing on of these babies is slim, but I will keep you in mind for sure.

yea true and only 3mil not even enough so each canuck could have one. Maybe ask a bank tellr to hold a roll for you when they arrive, if they do.

I can see what I can do. Would they have them now, or when are they being issue or released? Thanks

they are starting to go to banks now based on the banks orders. So I guess the banks that ordered twoonies at right time will get them first.

Hey have you heard of SolarCoin?

It sounds familiar. But I must say other than the catchy name I am oblivious.

Got a link?

cool thanks man, I am going to check it out and probably get involved somehow.

haha i can see a white man being stopped by the Chinese customs for carrying so much metal currency with him.😊

Well. In another 150 years we be will called Chinada. haha

Come on. So many people wants to move there?
It's nice and all but I don't like the cold.

oh man.. it's cold, we own the North Pole. Why people want to move here, is because they love the Canada they see on TV.

I love that most too.

Well Canada does have the most fresh water in the world... plus the winter is good if you want to get away from bugs.

That is actually one of my most important things about where I live. It must have a winter. Places that have winter have less bugs.. haha. Good point.

I use to hate the winter, and although I don't particularly enjoy it, I have come to appreciate it. Canada is a great place to live. It also tends to smell really nice in the winter time.
