Today is Canada's 150th birthday.
Canada day July 1st was originally called Dominion Day.
It celebrates the enactment of the Constitution Act (1867) that united Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single dominion of the British Empire.
Not to be confused with the Constitution Act (1982) which gave Canada full sovereignty
Essentially this is the sesquicentennial of Canada's constitution eh
