Full Term Abortions In Canada..What? Something to think about on this Mothers Day!

I just today learned that full term abortions are legal in Canada. I always thought there was a 3-month maximum, and personally believed that was way too long. I know women are going to scream about their right to freedom of choice. I believe wholeheartedly in a person's freedom of choice, but let me ask you? A multitude of birth control products, whether or not to have sex at all, or even the day after pill, are these not choices? It has always seemed to me that once you are pregnant you have already made your choice!
We need to start talking about how incredibly wonderful it is to be a Mom and a Dad! Oh my, huh, you know my spell check won't even let me spell Mom and a Dad without telling me it is wrong. We need babies people! lots and lots of babies! We are already less the 1.8 children per family in traditional Canadian homes. Yes, I am talking about White Christian Families, so sue me! We are going to (unbreed) ourselves right out of existence. We create an environment of fear and sacrifice around the idea of marriage and babies.....Why? Why can't we teach about the feelings of unity, the feeling of being able to trust the people you love and that they can trust you?
Being a Mom is the greatest thing I have ever done! I wish I had grown up in an environment where it was encouraged to have babies. Given a healthy environment, I would have loved to have ten babies! Why do our choices revolve around the idea of keeping families small?
I watch immigrants come to Canada and build monster houses. There are several families in that one house. I got to go into one once, there was a courtyard playground right in the middle of the house. The house was built around it. Their multitudes of children could play at the park together without leaving their house. No, I am not suggesting we all live in the same houses, but would it be so wrong to encourage families to stick together? A family where young love and babies are welcomed and encouraged? A place where having a baby does not mean life is over for that young woman? A place where we all participate in the rearing of our children. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am going to try to create such a place for my Son, his future Bride and all of their children.
