Budget 2018: Women, wealth transfers and social programs

in canada •  7 years ago  (edited)

In this second look at Canada's Budget 2018, we take a look at the heavy gender emphasis being taken in budget allocation and why it may cause more division than good.

Accompanied by the heavy gender emphasis is an even larger social/welfare initiative. Like the last 2 budgets, this budget is projected to be in the realm of - $18.1 Billion for fiscal year 2018, officially destroying the Trudeau promise of limiting deficits to $10 Billion per year for the first 3 years.

To pay for all of this spending, government has announced they will commit funds to help the CRA go after tax evaders, tax avoidance schemes, and foreign accounts.
