We all know in Canada how much the opioid crisis, why is it the government will cover these pills and not a plant? So I suffer from a curved spine cerebral palsy, anxiety and depression. Smoking cannabis helps me sleep, helps me deal with the aches and pains and helps my apatite if the anxiety is to strong. And I live on Ontario disabilities support program but yet I have to pay 100$ a month for half of my prescription because that's all i can afford. We all know people that live on fixed incomes are at greater risk for diet issues such as diabetes. There are days where I'm in such arthritic pain but I still have to skip smoking because i cant run through my prescription too fast. When i spoke to my local mp I was told that cannabis wasn't covered under the Ontario drug plan because it is not yet a legal substance but that cannot be accurate because how come we were allowed to get prescribed medicinal marijuana for 20 years. Government will look for any excuse to not cover something.
