My favorite time of the year- starting off some organic cannabis plants for my own personal use- Saving money instead of buying weed means you can buy crypto instead !! !!
I'm back at the Cabin and I took seeds with me from a shop in Poland for this years grow. I started off the automatics which will be grown outdoors by putting them in water around 8 days ago, it *was warm* when I decided to start them off, but then we had a few days of coldness and the seeds took a while to crack. It was quite touch and go to see if they would actually have enough energy to grow a decent tap root, and then to have enough energy also to shed the shell and the skin to get the leaves exposed to the light.
Let the Season Begin!
This was the first that cracked (Above), and below are the pots ready to receive the germinated seeds as they crack open.
I had 13 seeds: 10 x "Big Lights of North" and 3 x Moby Dicks, and only two (one of each strain) didn't make it, but maybe one still can as its swollen up but just not started to root.
I found a small bag of cactus soil in the trash of a garden shop which is also great for seeds as it contains no nutrients and made an area in each pot of a cubic inch in size of this soil for the seed to start in. The rest of the soil is soil from a cow shit enriched field and I used it last year with good results. When the snow had melted I saw I had 120 L of bagged soil so that's enough for all these auto plants!
I just decided to go take some snaps of whats happening here with the new auto seedlings under a DIY led light under my bed..
The setup here is simple, One Liter Pots in a crate and a small usb fan that keeps them in constant soft movement pointed across them all. The light is quite sweet, its a hand made light from a guy who makes them for growing chilli plants with. I have also another one from the same guy which is a 50w one but I use that for clones as this one has more power to it.
They have been getting put out in the sunshine a few days already since getting put in soil. They all had a different germination rate due to unstable warmth in the water when I started to germinate them and so they have now separate grow rates as some are slower than others.
