The 71st Cannes Film Festival is being screened on 8th May. Already heard, Salfi did not have the Lalghalicha festival this year. It was heard that the photos of Netflix could not participate in the Contest section. Not just Netflix, Pictures of online streaming sites will not be able to participate in the Competition section.

Last year Netflix's two films 'Okcha' and 'The Myoofiant Stories' took part in the Cannes Film Festival. After that they would be released at the time of the movie. But netflix photos were not released on two cinemas. That's why this decision has been taken. Cine film festival director Thierry Framo said in an interview with French magazine Filmy, that the pictures of Netflix and other streaming services are not worthy of the festival's biggest award, Palm d'Or. Last year, there was a strong debate about two pictures of Netflix, which was discussed worldwide.

The director further said, 'Last year we picked two pictures for the exhibition. We thought that we could convince Netflix to release the movie. But they refuse. '

This will be held from 8th to 19th May. Actress Katie Blanchet will be the chief of the judges this year.
