Is Your Cardio Routine Doing More Harm Than Good

I really feel that low-moderate intensity, long duration cardio exercise is doing more harm that good to society. It results in millions of people wasting hours upon hours, burning mostly useless calories, feeling down, eating poorly because of boredom, and loosing motivation to make fitness changes for the better. I would like to present some evidence for my claim, I hope you will read it with an open mind.

Many people claim that long duration cardio is the best way to burn fat and lose weight, but they fail to realize that the body doesn’t actually use much fat during low intensity exercise. The truth is, after about forty-five minutes or so of low intensity exercise, you will stop using much fat and instead begin using glucose for energy. This may seem like a good thing at first, but upon further examination we will see that this effect comes with many unwanted side-effects.
