So, the subject today is what to expect on your driver's test. And before we get into some of the actual test, what I want to tell you is to make sure you're on time and to make sure you have the proper documents that you need. You have to have your learner's permit, and your pre-licensing class certificate, and the driver that brings you there has to have their driver's license, the car registration, and the insurance card. If you don't have any of those documents you will not be given the test. So you don't want to waste your time by going there without that.
Now, what do we expect to do actually on the test? And the test is comprised of a series of turns and two maneuvers. You're going to do some right turns, and you're going to do some left turns across traffic. And then you're going to have to execute what we call a broken U-turn. Which means bringing your car from the right side, across to the other side of the street, backing up, and then going back the other way.
And then finally, you'll have to do a parallel parking, which means bringing the car alongside of another vehicle and backing it into the space. It isn't real difficult. The whole test takes about ten minutes.
So hopefully what I've outlined here are some good, solid ways on knowing what to expect and how to execute it and hopefully it will get you through and help you to pass your driver's test.
