For Regular Pen ink:

For a regular pen ink, bottles of hair spray may be used. For this process, first hair spray is sprayed on the spot where the ink is which will make the stain softer. After this, the sprayed liquid on stain must be dried with the help of a soft cloth. Note that it should not be rather rubbed as it will spread the stain. This step should be performed repeatedly until the stain due to the ink vanishes. After this, after drying of the affected area, it should be cleaned with a brush and then vacuumed in order to remove any residue.

For Permanent ink:

Removing a stubborn permanent ink is much difficult but using this method may eliminate the stain. For this removal process, either an alcoholic liquid or a hair spray is poured on the ink stain mark. After it, the liquid is then dried with the help of a soft cloth which will absorb all the color of the ink stain. After the stain disappears, the affected area is then mopped with a cloth which is dipped in lukewarm water. This will remove the stain of the permanent ink from the carpet.

For Water Based ink:

For cleaning of a water based ink, a solution must be prepared with the dishwashing liquid and lukewarm water. After the solution has prepared, a soft cloth must be dipped into the solution and then used to dab on the stain marked area of carpet. The process is then repeated again and again until the ink stain is removed completely from the carpet.

Other Methods:

Another method which may be used to remove the ink stain from the carpet is by using shaving cream in which the shaving cream is sprayed and spread on the area of ink stain. After that, the cream is rinsed using a lots of lukewarm water. After washing with water, he carpet is vacuumed to make it dry.

Another method for the effective removal of the ink stain from carpet is by using any kind of a lubricant. But before using this method, the lubricant must be tested on a separate cloth or else it can make the ink stain much worse. For this method, the lubricant is sprayed on the ink stain and then let to settle down for few minutes. After that, the stain must be washed with help of soap solution in a warm water and a soft sponge which will remove both the lubricants as well as ink stain; leaving no residue on the carpet. The soap solution may leave a residue too, so, the area must be rinsed with warm water after removal of the ink stain with soap solution. After rinsing, the carpet should be dried and vacuumed which will make the carpet clean and as good as new.

Note that these steps must be taken as soon as the ink has dropped and is not dried as cleaning the dried ink will be much difficult. Moreover, these methods prove to be effective for an effective stain removal and helps you to keep your carpet cleaner and maintained for a longer period of time.
