The first car that Henry Ford had built for the average people although it is still expensive at that time was the Model T and it is a different car where you have three pedals on the floor where the right pedal was for the brake, then the middle pedal was the reverse mode, than the left pedal was the clutch.

There is no gas pedal but an accelerator found under the steering wheel. Now the Ford Model T has a four cylinder engine and can only give 20 horsepower and can travel up to the speeds of 45 Miles per hour.

The Model T maybe "weak" but it is rugged, can travel through rough terrains, small streams, and snow. What it lacks is the enclosure as you would get frozen if you drive in cold or get wet if it would be raining hard but overall it is a better improvement than using a Horse and Buggy at that time which can only travel at 8 miles per hour.
