The Pal-V Liberty is an extraordinary vehicle. He rolls and flies. To avoid some traffic jams, it is possible to make flea jumps before resuming the road.
Do you remember the Carver One? It's a Dutch "3-wheel" car that leans in turns like a motorcycle. Dutch engineers decided to turn it into a gyrocopter. The Pal-V Liberty presented in Geneva is the culmination of a project that took 11 years to germinate before being ready for commercialization. Here it comes with a 100 hp engine for the road and another 200 hp for the air. On land it can roll at 160 km / h (0 to 100 km / h in 9 s) while bowing in turns and in the air, it progresses to 180 km / h (maximum altitude of 3500 m).
How does it work ?
First thing: you need a private pilot license in your wallet. Otherwise, the Pal-V Liberty will be just a funny car that carries a propeller folded on the roof. The gyrocopter needs 200 m to take off. It must therefore be done from an aerodrome. Then, the radius of action is 400 km. To land, a track is ideal, but the Pal-V Liberty here needs only 30 m. Then he can take the road to reach his destination. Turning it into a car or "plane" takes only 5 to 10 minutes. And no need for kerosene, standard gasoline is enough. It is always already to win on the budget given the starting price of the machine to 290,000 €.
