Last car of the decade and what we actually dosteemCreated with Sketch.

That's it for 2019, the last car of the decade for us is the Mitsubishi ASX 2020.

After hooning around in various locations and conditions we thought it best to give the car a bit of a clean.

We start by getting most of the mud off and get it ready for collection, we've already had a comment today that this video has spurred a Guy who was commenting on our ASX videos to go out and buy one.

Which is great news and shows that people use our videos to actually learn about the car that they're interested in buying and this is exactly why we created Planet Auto.

In the video we just literally give the car a quick rinse off and then a bit of a rub down with a sponge and some triple wax's car cleaning shampoo.

In the last few weeks a lot of people have seemed to be wondering why were creating 5 things review week etc videos and seem to completely misread the titles.

5 things we love, people seem to think is a full review of a vehicle, Ben gives an explanation of exactly what happens when we receive a brand-new car to review.

The first thing we do is Review Week which is LIVE

We walk round the vehicle explain some of the highlights, prices, trim levels available like we then walk round the vehicle and point interesting design features, tech etc then it's time to explore the interior we open the doors look a the finishes, additions and add some stats as well as options you can get etc.

After that we start filming the full review, this is a lot more complex than any of the other parts.

We start with the To Camera shots, Annabelle and I will go out onto the forecourt andpark the car on an angle that is 3/4, meaning you can see the side and the front, once we're happy, we move on.

It's then time for a quick intro, then it's on with filming the exterior and the styling, then the interior, then the driving section and finally a voice-over verdict.

It's amazing how many people seem to think that a full review should literally be instant.

They don't realise that you have to film it, with pans, camera sections, driving sections, gimbal work then export it then re-import it into adobe premiere cut it all up put on the timeline clean up the sound clean up any of the video.

Then you get everything coherent as it should appear when published, we then go back add overlays for example our names the intro close-ups and everything that makes the review stand on its own.

We then go through it again add an adjustment layer or adjustment layers dependant on what needs doing and tweak the colour settings essentially colour grading.

We then watch it again export it and watch it again and then when we're 100% happy we upload it to YouTube add a description ad titles add keywords create a custom thumbnail using photoshop add it to a playlist and publish.

There you go method to our madness.

We will likely make a full video that explains exactly what we do in a review, this video just literally tells you the process but not in depth.

Watch out for a thank you video as well, we will also be doing a giveaway so if you fancy a Planet Auto cap or woolly hat subscribe to the channel and comment on the post when it appears.

Oh yes, lots more to come thank you,

What a great end to the decade! I look forward to seeing more of you and annabelle in 2020 :)

I almost bought one of those this year as a town car. Ended up getting the Ford Escape instead.

Onward and upwards for 2020 guys. Keep up the good work, and Merry Christmas!

Not familiar with the Ford Escape, just had a look the new looks to be like across between the Puma and Kuga, thank you for the kind words and we sure will, lots coming and Happy Christmas to you too :)

The Ford Escape was marketed here as the Ford Kuga for a time but was not well-received due to the connotations of the word (cougar). Ford changed the name to the Escape which is what it is marketed in the States as and it started selling here too...Go figure.

Doesn't have CVT which is one reason I went for it over the ASX.

I'm a big car guy, but don't want to run my LC200 around for work so got the Ford. It works..

Kuga does well here, i miss the old Ford Cougar, there are far more 90s Puma's around than Cougars, it's crazy how a anme can affect a sale, there's a new Transit Nugget over here, that's had some mockery on fb etc it's a Caravelle type of vehicle.

Yeah, it's weird. People attach their self worth to things though and feel it's a reflection of themselves. Stupid thing to do.

They do, sad really.

It's promoted by corporations and government...Keeps people spending.
