Another episode with the pirate song. I think I was expecting it since the title made it obvious that it would be about them. The song was cut short by Max who turned on a TV debate between him another pirate. I was glad to see some continuity between earlier episodes like when Max kidnapped Demosthenes to help make him a better speaker when the pirate election in this episode.
It seems like Spartakus was parting ways with the group and Arkana was noticeably upset and and so was Rebecca. Arkadia appeared to be in the distance and for some reason Spartakus wants nothing to do with that civilization. The glow of Tehra must have only been a trick by the pirates because they surfaced and kidnapped all but Spartakus. Having a prize like Arkana and Tehrig would help win Max the election. Spartakus swims the entire way to the convention. After Matt and Rebecca are sold into slavery Bic and Bak help them escape which leads them getting into a scuffle with the pirates.
During the final debate Arkana pleads for the pirates to take the situation about Tehra seriously because if the artificial sun goes out all the stratas will be in danger. At least that’s what I took away with from it. Spartakus cleans house again and Max loses the election. I didn’t notice this in earlier episodes but I think Arkana has fallen for Spatakus. I don’t know how much time has gone by in the show but she was still only just created it is hard to say what she is capable of and since Spartakus is an honorable man I don’t know if he would return Arkana’s affection. She’s smart but still childlike and to think about it she was created by children.
