Cashew nuts - really delicious! Part 1 - Basics

Welcome to my first post about cashew nuts!

It's really simple and fast to produce cream or milk with cashew nuts.

Here the basic recipe:

  • 100g cashew nuts natural - not roasted and without any spices
  • Dates, up to 3 pieces (It depends of your taste)
    The dates are sweet, so you don't have to use sugar
  • salt
  • up to 1 liter of Water - I recommend to use purified water

You need a powerful blender, so you get the best result.
I recommend a blender with 30.000rpm like the Bianco Puro

So, let's start:

  • soak the cashews and the dates for 20 minutes in a big cup of hot water - the water should not to be to hot so we protect the vitamins.

  • ad a pinch of salt

  • Fill everything in the blender and ad 1 cup of cold water

  • start the blender slowly und increase to full speed - after 1 minute you have a nice cream.

Now your cream is finished - you can use for soups, sauces and vegetables like spinach.
But I like it also in my coffee. :-)

You have to make your own experience how many water you need to get the right consistence.

  • to get milk, you have to add more water. 100g cashews are enough for 1 liter of milk.

You can use the Milk for your breakfast, to drink or to mix with fruits.

Use a glas bottle to keep the milk in the fridge - it's ok for storing up to 2 or 3 days.
