My dear old cat(s)

This is a picture of my cat Indy.

Picture taken 9 days before she died.

Indy died in 2014 at the age of 18. She lived with me since before I moved into my house. She was a part of my life for 18 years, so it was very emotional for me when she died. But the veterinary said that her kidneys were failing and because of that, she was being poisoned.

A young and vibrant Indy

When she was one year old, she gave birth to a litter of four kittens. They were born in my bed whilst I was sleeping. Or more precise; I was sleeping until Indy bit my finger during one of her contractions. Then I was wide-awake, and witnessed all the kittens being born. The last one was Tassen (little one - irony) at 6:25AM. I guess Indy felt very safe giving birth next to me.

I found new homes for three of the kittens. Tassen stayed with me.

Tassen turned 20 this May 18. That is somewhat above average age for a cat. He has no health problems that I know of, but he is in his late autumn of life, so he moves a bit slower. He does not like to jump and he sleeps a lot, and that's OK. After all, he is a very old cat.
