my furkids ...

I was so blessed. This very timid kitten came to visit, she was so frightened, took a while to warm to us. I bought catfood and her visits became more regular, and she would love Jess, James and I and curl up and stay a while.

I made a tabloid newspaper for my ol' hometown at the time, and one morning was hard at work and viola she hopped in my window making a small mewing sound, outside on the grass, she had carried her two babies to me ... oh my heart! She was still such a baby herself and she had braved yellow billed kites, circling overhead, bringing them safely to our home. I saw the shadow of the bird overhead when I went to get them in.

How tiny they were, full of hisses and sharp lil' claws, they hid under my bed for the whole first day. We made them a house on the back verandah, its all closed in and safe, and mostly the babies spent their time behind the geyser ... slowly they grew and played and oh the delights of kittens! Cheonsa would bring them small shrews or gheckos to teach them cat ways.

Mummy cat, aka. Cheonsa (Angel in Korean) aka Good Fortune, the boss of this house!
So this is my fur family and they are so damn cool. I was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago and went through the whole ghastly procedure, losing hair, feeling so, so sick, and these darlings were with me through it all. They are such distinctive little characters.
Samwise has become rather chubby & sleeps a lot, he plays rough, but does love to play. He is heavy to pick up, shew!!

Hobbes is like a gangly teenager, with eyes of innocence, a lethal hunter and the most talkative kitty ...

So this my furkid family, and I love them all and am truly blessed to have them in my life ...
