Ms Hattie Came Home!

She had been gone for two months in the Alaskan wilderness.
The night after we went to the river to fish and the day we went grousing hunting. So Tuesday night. She just showed up in the house!
She was yelling her presence. One kid got excited and yelled “Hattie!” She took off and hid under a kids bed. Then ran out to the catio/dogio I have. One kid was already out side and watching to make sure she didn’t run again. When I got out there I went to the only spot she could get out and nailed it shut with U nails. I avoided doing this long ago for two reasons, possible water damage and Hattie was out. I didn’t want to lock her out just Incase was was still out there. Well it looks like I was right.
After I nailed the crap out of the netting, I went around the whole cage and zip tied any spots that looked questionable.
I took a 💩 ton of photos, even me crying with happy tears of joy that she came back to us and remembered us.
She is super skinny, she was tiny before she left but now she is really skinny. Like skin and bones 😣
All the first night, Tuesday, she would meow and call every time I tossed and turned in bed. It was a long night.
In the morning after broken rest I figured out what calmed her, she wanted to be held. Not picked up, but held tightly. I tested this, when I stopped she started calling again, so I did the same thing and she stopped. So I got her to curl up in a ball and lay next to my side(in photo), with her arm stretched out holding onto me sleeping.

All day Wednesday she slept, ate, drank, maybe used the potty. We got lots of cuddle time in. She is weak and unsteady. Tempted to take her to the vet. But I am sure that would cause problems and I would be accuse of animal abuse or some shit like that.

Today Thursday, it was confirmed that she is eating and passing that well! Yay!!!! I was so worried that she would be plugged up by eating to fast or because it was cat food. This is so awesome! Poop is a good thing!!!

I will be keeping a close eye on her because of how skinny she is. She lost at least a pound or two 💔

We adopted her at age four from the shelter, so she is about ten years old.

I don’t know the right words to express how awesome it feels to have my kitty back unharmed, and clean.
She is missing her collar and tag though. But that’s an easy fix.

Hope all your fuzzy babies are doing well.

Glad you are reunited with your lovely critter 🐱 Happy Caturday

Thank you 💗

That is so awesome that she came back. :)

What adventures she must have had. I bet you thought she was a goner with how long she was away!

If she had been out there any longer she would have been.
I was starting to wonder, but if she was dead all I wanted was her body to bury. But since we never found a body I didn’t stop calling or thinking of her.

What an awesome story that she came back after all that time! I suppose it goes to show that cats can be remarkably resilient and resourceful.

I hope she has decided that she has had enough "adventuring!"

Happy Caturday!
