Top of the list on the most recommended places to visit in Camotes is the Santiago white beach and that's where we wanted be. Infact this Beach is what drew me to visit camotes, especially its View from this resort. (second photo)
Therefore. Immediately we Docked on Poro port, on the bike we went and drove about 30 mins down to The town of Santiago.
Like i mentioned earlier, this is among the most Popular spots in Camotes, it Was no. Surprise therefore that it was a little hard to find accommodation around the resorts but the locals were very kind in helping us find one.
This beach is perfect for people like me who can't swim but enjoy beach bumming. Its shallow waters go way a few meters far into the ocean and the further you go the clearer the waters in the evening time.
The tide is low at night and early morning, so there's a long stretch of powdery white sand to walk on.
I took the pleasure to enjoy the walk in the morning and at night along the beach.
There are many campers here at night and some food vendors all though the day. The majority population on this beach and the whole island as a whole in the attraction sites are locals, very few foreign tourists in sight, so i can say that its still undiscovered as compared to panglao, Bohol.
As i mentioned earlier, this is the wider beach stretch when the tide is low , early morning around 6:30 am.
I will keep camote blogs coming in, stay tuned.
