The Force of nature shows us what God is like. It is in the Bible, Psalm 19: 1, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament announces the work of their hands."
The sovereignty of God over nature does not mean that Christians never find themselves in tragedies or natural disasters, because experience and observation clearly show us, quite the opposite. An earthquake somewhere, a famine in another, typhoons and droughts in others; thousands of people dead and others slowly dying of hunger; whole regions devastated, crops ruined, and homes destroyed. "Why does God allow all this?"; "Why do you allow innocent children to be hungry?"
It is not bad questioning about all these aspects, as long as we do it with a reverent and submissive attitude toward God. Indeed, to stop questioning about these great tragedies could indicate a lack of compassion on our part towards others.
The sovereignty of God over nature means that what we suffer from the climate or other forces of it (diseases in plants or pests in our crops), all events are under the vigilant, sovereign and absolute control of our God.We have all been affected by the weather and the forces of nature, in different opportunities, in one way or another.
But God did not leave the daily control of his creation, but established physical laws to govern the forces of nature, which operate continuously in accordance with his sovereign will. A Christian television meteorologist has determined that there are about 1,400 references to climatological terminology in the Bible, many of which attribute all weather phenomena directly to the hand of God. Most of these passages speak of God's control over all time, and not only of divine intervention on specific occasions.
