For today's agricultural based #dailycelestialchallenge by @sirknight, I present maiz (corn in Spanish) as grown on an Argentine farm in the southern part of the Buenos Aires province.
Primarily a cattle farm, this estate operates with a rotation of corn, sorghum, and soy. The crops are grown on a rotation in order to replenish the soil with vital nutrients required to ensure successful crops for seasons to come. The corn and sorghum will serve as feed for the animals while the soy serves as the replenishing crop.
These photos depict the seedlings just weeks into their growth cycle.
The estate's management team discusses the state of the crop and plans for the land when the crop has been harvested.
