Introduction

Taking a special look at my country and the schools, the rate of cultism will by a far greater sense be said to have reduce over the years. However despite the rate at which people as well as students are leaving this form of darkness, most of them in my country are partaking in other social vices such as another form of darkness called "YAHOO". In this form of darkness, young guys most especially have ended up defrauded people from overseas and this really stains the reputation of some of the good and well mannered people from my country Nigeria.

Nonetheless, today we will concentrate on cultism in schools most especially as several young and frustrated individuals have left the reason why they actually went to school for to participate or engage in illicit acrivities that either make them end other people's life or at the tail end end theirs.

Cultism In Schools

Cultism is a situation in which young individuals come together to form a group in which they are always bonded together by an oath and therefore pledge loyalty to one another for their own common good. However in recent times cultism has take another shape. For example, before now cultism is used to safeguard the interest of its group or people in the group but has recently taken another shift. I will narrate a story to tell you what I mean by that.

As a real Madrid fan, I went out to watch a football match one day in a viewing center. However because the environment where mostly fille with students, there were a lot of contructive arguments going on in there which any one who loves sport may want to participate in. Nevertheless, there was a particular boy who was talking to another guy in a somewhat rude manner.

Amidst the fun and fare, another young indidual who we thought intitially to be a cultist picked offence. It turned out thta our guess was right. He went outside the viewing center after causing a lot of uproar inside the viewing center and went to patiently wait for him outide the viewing center.

When the match was over and everyone was happily going home as our favorite team won, we heard gun shots and everyone was in high entropy. We all ran to hide our heads and behold after like 8 gun shots, every where became calm and eventually some of us that had mind went to check what really happened.

Behold it was this young man who was so full of life inside the viewing center. He had been shot severally in several spots with his blood all over the ground. It was a really bad scene and we called the policemen to come take his body. Since after that incidence I never went out to watch a foottball match because I may not know when I utter a word that might not go down with a certain unfortunate fellow.

Cultism in schools is a very bad decision bringing darkness to the Location. The area I stay In school is called Ekosodin and if you google it, you will hear a lot of bad things that has gone down in that location. Now what is the solution and what should be done to reduce this menace.

Advice To Students Participating In Cultism

Cutism at the very tail end will make you more miserable. A lot of people/students think that once they become one, they gain power to take whatever decision they want to take or do whatever they want to do. They become small kings in a very bad way. They torment people and involve themselves in all form of vices. They rape, kill, steal, lies and so on make the community unfit for habitation.

  • Therefore my first advice here is that all students should shun cultism all cultist always end up in regreting why they ever joined if they live long enough to even have the opportunity to regret.

  • Likewise, parents have a very significant role to play. Research shows that 87% of students who have a very bad home upbringing usualy engage in some cultism activities. Therefore parents should ensure they nurture their children in the way they should grow so that they wont depart from it. They should train up their children to obey them because most children before taking any decision strife to remember the shame it will bring to their family before backing out of the decision. The book of Ephesians 6 vs 1 which says

children obey your parents in the Lord for this right.

Every child is meant to respect their children if the parents really put into them the fear of God.

  • Finally, orientations about the dangers of cultism should be embarked upon by both Non Governmental Associations (NGO) as well as other bodies which will normally include other well meaning bodies, schools, Governement.

  • People like me will do a steem meet up/blast to orient people of the community on how they can join and add value and also get rewards. Anticipate.

Finally, cultism has never been beneficial to anyone and therefore please in the name of God, SHUN CULTISM

It is sad that this is very rampant in almost every if not all universities in nigeria. And what makes it worse is that it is creeping into the secondary schools. We have to equip our youths wih the right mindset in order to resist the temptation of peer pressure. And also have to raise our kids right so that they have the right values and are not easily swayed. Thanks for this brother

This was a wonderfuk addition @xinese

Sad memories.
I used to have a very close child hood friend who was killed by policemen as he was a cultist. His death pains me up till now. And he was an only boy. He's still very fond in my memories.

Those sights are not always good to behold and remember
This is why we have to shun cultism totally
Sorry about your friend mate
