CELTbot, making trading spreads tollerable
Welcome dear readers for another exciting weekly update about your favorite community funded bot. I've been busy juggling dayjob, family, some freelance coding and CELT upgrades.
This weeks goal achieved:
Last update was about setting new priorities on the CELTbot, it should provide it's community service but at the same time we need it to be a bit profitable as well. I believe my upgraded code from this week is a step in the good direction. The idea was that when we've got a big available reserve of eth and btc the spread will be as tight as possible and when reserve drops the spread will be bigger, preserving the bot's functionallity without the bot cannibalising itself.
The current settings:
ether reserve for ether pairs
between 0 and 1 ETH : 10% spread
between 1 and 2 ETH : 2% spread
between 2 and 3 ETH : 1% spread
between 3 and 4 ETH : 0.5% spread
between 4 and 5 ETH : 0.2% spread
bigger then 5 ETH : 0.1 % spread
bitcoin reserve for bitcoin pairs
between 0 and 0.1 BTC : 10% spread
between 0.1 and 0.2 BTC : 2% spread
between 0.2 and 0.3 BTC : 1% spread
between 0.3 and 0.4 BTC : 0.5% spread
between 0.4 and 0.5 BTC : 0.2% spread
bigger then 0.5 BTC : 0.1 % spread
These settings may change , but I believe this to be a decent way for the bot to get into a profitable functioning form and still accomplishing its goal: tightening spreads.
Because we've got limited funds I am not activating fiat pairs.
Getting funds to operate
As stated above the bot will provide a better trading experience when it's reserve is bigger. So if you've got spare eth you're just hodling, just buy some CELT as I you can cash out at any time if you want to, and gain a small premium each week if you do bacause the CELT tokens will increase a fraction in value each week.
Failing to retrieve trading history
The goal was with the new UI release and the statistics guy out of exams to start doing weekly statistics about the bot.
Big fail however because the exchange history is not loading and therefor the export csv function is failing as well. Probable cause being the massive history the bot has generated. I reported it on coss slack today and hope they can fix this so I can provide you with weekly juicy stats.
Roadmap: CELT goals ahead
- New community funds.
- Let the bot do it's thing to get the bot into profit.
- Keep improving bot code
CELT price still increases each week
New exchange rate will be 995 CELT for 1 ETH instead of 996 CELT for 1 eth.
Performance
I've been neglecting the balance overview with being swamped by so many things I simply forgot to daily update. I'm looking into a solution to just provide the weekly stats.
