Logan Paul Aokigahara Uncensored

in censorship •  7 years ago  (edited)

I am sharing the video of Logan Paul that has made the news and triggered a content debate on youtube.
This come down to the fundamental voices of censorship, freedom and most importantly choice.

The debate is in relation to moderation and in regards to real life the question is that even if it is sad this is life and reality not a safespace there will always be controversy there may be better means of addressing the issue however on a fundamental level shunning and hiding content is not the way hence the 18+ Filter and livelink if you still choose to access that information then the choice was always there.

People must make their own choices in life whatever the outcome is even if it is painful, as long as you live there is hope, that said what is your final decision is hopefully the path that will not lead to death.

The decision that Logan Paul crossed the line is one that fundamentally involves an exercise of moral judgment, You have to look at what's considered decent behavior in the user community. You can't just turn a crank and have the algorithm figure out your morality for you.

Back to an orignal motto you watch you choose you decide and as logan paul put it at the end of the video.
You are not Alone, you are stronger than you realize.

Video that was removed on youtube.

The bigger question is how will this tool and his approach affect a casual YouTube user:

It's a fair point as it is hard to regain reputation once lost, unless you are able to flip the narrative. That said youtube stymied the growth of small youtube users with it's recent changes and this is not like a corporation where big users control all the market it's more of a plethora of content and reducing the soil in a sense userbase to a larger central nexus will likely backfire in the long run.

How long do you think it will take these youtube rejects to discover and bandwagon their way to steemit and d.tube?

It was already done with vid.me but it got shut down

It takes awareness of solutions to get individuals to onboard, the biggest benefit and hindrance to steem is that it costs nothing to make an account here. However it does take a few days using mobile phone registration.

The other main issue is that the crux of selling your Steem to currency is still to difficult for many individuals to utilize and promote their content.

Over time as more users join the early adopters will be rewarded with Steem that is worth a lot more than it is now, example I sent you 0.08 cents if it was back in 2013 that little upvote in 2018 would be a full dollar.

This provides an incentive for some users to make the transition now and build content and attention, then as the value appreciates this attracts more users and slowly but surely leads to mainstream adoption.

In the same way content creators should expect that they may make a small revenue now and steamroll it in the future. Early youtube content creators were able to build followings by the time it became mainstream they became the power users and we able to be rewarded.

We are still at a niche stage where the problem is acquiring attention once we hit the next adoption stage we will see another influx. For now it's good to enjoy the system at its limited stage and wait a while if you can afford to do so to make more in the future.

Well I am working on a book now so im hoping I Could post concept art or updates on it and perhaps future projects.

Is it against steemit rules to advertise your book that is sold on amazon or any other website or store?

(Also I meant rejects as in the big youtubers being screwed over by google and want to go to steemit for easy money, I should have been clearer on that)

No there is no rules against advertising your books on other sites as long as it's not a blatant ad and is relevant content.
We have seen several youtubers start using steemit and sharing their content here and on youtube or dtube as an additional revenue stream, the same can easily apply to books or musical content.
