In the footsteps of the 1942 Assassination in Pilsen - Po stopách Atentátu 1942 v Plzni I.

Today is the anniversary of the assassination of Reich protector R. Heydrich. It is exactly 76 years since the brave members of the Anthropoid group, Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabčík, successfully assassinated the kata of the Czech nation.
Six years ago I came across this web site: http://zasvobodu-plz.cz/heydr/heydr.html (today it is not working anymore). Here it was described where the paratroopers hid in the Pilsen region. I decided to visit all of these places and bring them closer to you. The brave people who lived here years ago and gave asylum to the resistance people deserve to be remembered with respect.

Dnes je výročí Atentátu na říšského protektora R. Heydricha. Je to právě 76 let, co stateční členové skupiny Anthropoid Jan Kubiš a Jozef Gabčík provedli úspěšně atentát na kata českého národa.
Před šesti lety jsem narazil na tyto webové stránky: http://zasvobodu-plz.cz/heydr/heydr.html (dnes už nefunkční). Zde bylo popsáno, kde se parašutisté ukrývali na Plzeňsku. Rozhodl jsem se navštívit všechna tato místa a přiblížit vám je fotografiemi. Stateční lidé, kteří zde před lety žili a poskytli azyl odbojářům, zaslouží být připomenuti s respektem a úctou.

A cíl jejich mise...

Zde, v okolí Jandovy skály (na fotce), v místním polesí, měli být původně vysazeni atentátníci dle plánů londýnského velení. Byli vybaveni falešnými doklady z Plzeňska, takže když byli nakonec pro nepřízeň počasí a chybu navigace vysazeni u Prahy nedaleko obce Nehvizdy, museli se přesunout na Plzeňsko, kde už byli připraveni místní vlastenci, kteří je měli podpořit.
