Here are my points in the Texas loss in no particular order

Still in mourning.

Everything seem to go wrong for Texas until the last minute of the game. Washington do their credit played out of their minds in the passing game. Uneven officiating. Passes knocked down at the line of scrimmage which seem to never happen in the regular season. Yet still Texas was one play away from winning.
Worthy seemed off yesterday. I expected more from our downfield passing but he was hardly used. Makes me wonder if he was hurt.
This was the worst matchup for Texas. I would have liked our chances better next week if we had gotten Michigan since they do no have such a dynamic offense and what they do well, run the ball, is what we are built to stop.
I do not want to hear anymore, is Texas SEC ready. Beat Bama in Bama. One play away from the championship game. Yes not every season will go as well as this one did but with the recruiting that is happening Texas will be a player in the SEC for some time to come.
If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that Texas would come within one play of playing for the Natty I would have taken it. Given that, this has been a successful season even if we didn't win it all. And sets up Texas to do better things in the coming years.
Congratulations Huskies. They played better than us for most of the game. We Longhorns need to lick our wounds, reload, and get ready for next year. Despite my obvious disappointment, I am encouraged because I think the future is bright for us.
