Hello Steemians,
Okay, I was thinking that who is the deciding factor of and on Steemit! Recently, @grumpycat jumped in and made a policy for Bid Bot developers and users to stop reward abuse. That was a bold move! And it made many bot owners to change their policy as well as the post-age factor! The one who complies with the new yet unofficial policy is unaffected from the dark side. From the dark side, I mean the owners who didn't comply with the new yet unofficial standards are facing the major problems. Let's discuss about this new issue...
Just a Disclaimer...
"I respect you and I love you, my posts are not meant to hurt anyone's sentiments. My main motive is to speak up what I am thinking about this cause. Here I am, a small minnow with my regular post."
Unofficial
- These new standards are very much welcomed as it reduces the last time pull and pushes in reward pool. By UNOFFICIAL I mean that these standards are not directed by Steemit's authority.
- Bid bot owners forgot that they are Interacting with an official website, an official standard, and are not dealing with any random low-quality websites.
- Any changes are always notified by steemit via @steemitblog. But in @grumpycat's case, the cat is not authorized by either @ned or @steemitblog. The new standards of @grumpycat are not resteemed by either @steemitblog or @ned.
- So it is confirmed, that the new standards are not by Steemit authority and not supported by any other authority too! And we are blindly following it!
So @grumpycat / @madpuppy why we must comply with your rules?
Because of Power - Steem Power?!?
- @grumpycat and @madpuppy you have got the power, and I respect your power!
- But this power is not meant to be used to abuse or force someone to accept your rules. Everyone deserves freedom and you cannot Impose your ideology!
- Second thing is that your new standards must be discussed with everyone before imposing it!
- And now you are targeting innocent people who do not comply with your new standards, you are downvoting, flagging the quality contents too, Isn't you are abusing your power?
Not a Witness...
- @grumpycat you are not even a witness, why not you run a witness node followed by your witness campaign so that this all changes in policies must look legit and compulsory!
- We got many witnesses who are actually meant to be in this policy and decision making system, but none of them were informed or got a chance to discuss with you on this issue.
- The biggest question is " Whom you took in the count to discuss these new policies?" - Anyone?"
Flag to those who don't comply?
- @grumpycat and @madpuppy, Is flagging is the only solution left? I even tried to discuss with you...
- The way you are forcing @michaeldavid and @sneaky-ninja is truly unethical. I mean you got the mediums to communicate and what you are doing is flagging and not participating in discussions!

Sad thing is that I was Wrong!
Anyone can impose whatever they want to the extent of their steempower.
No
I am countering the vote of some bots, I couldn't care less if there is an underlying purchase agreements or ill-expectations of guaranteed profits.

No, it is short for FireDream.
Fire is the meaning of the name of my son.
Dream is the meaning of the name of my daughter.

Actually there are some fallacies here.
"Steemit's authority" - no such thing in a decentralized, open source block chain.
"an official website, an official standard" - no, once again, this is not how the block chain works. Steemit.com is A website, but not any kind of "official" anything.
And all the stuff about witnesses. We don't make "policy" we only run linux block processing nodes, and the top 20 decide whether or not to adopt a hardfork, but usually none of them were the ones who submitted the hardfork code change suggestions in the first place. They only decide to adopt them or not when posed with the possibility.
Steemit Inc is NOT the steem block chain.
But your sentiments are well met, and I believe in your passion, your heart and your opinion isn't far from mine, but you are a bit off about how "policy" and steemit inc are implemented, unfortunately.
