What's Up STACKERS!

You're probably asking yourself this right now, "Kimchi?! What the hell is kimchi?" 🀣 It's one of those staple Korean cuisines. It's made from fermented (probiotics) vegetables like napa cabbage and Korean radishes.

There are lots of "Health Benefits" from eating Kimchi, it's filled with some of that "natural occurring" bacteria called probiotics. I think you guys may already know, I'm all about probiotics... especially that Kombucha drank! πŸ˜‚ 🍡

I remember eating this for many years when growing up and forgot all about it until I seen it today at local market called Trader Joes in Las Vegas. I'm going to start buying it weekly now!

Some people say they can't stand it but many people love it. I'm the type of person who tries everything before making a judgement. In my opinion, if you like different types of international foods, Kimchi is the way to go. 🀀

Just sharing my day with you guys on a Saturday afternoon. My health and fitness stuff that I'm doing is still going pretty well since starting it last month (trying to cut the fat lol).

I'll do an update about it in a couple of weeks but in the mean time... give some Kimchi a try sometime!

Keep on STACKIN! πŸ’ž

When i first taste kimchi, i felt like "oh thats so hot!" But its delicious and good for appetizer πŸ‘

Absolutely love kimchi! I'm eating it more now because of the good probotics. So good with rice. I'm still getting used to the tangy flavor, but it makes a good side dish.

I don’t really like Kombucha that much, but I’ll definitely give Kimchi a try. Because I used to take probiotics in capsules form and my body would almost always have a bad reaction: bloating, gas, constipation... to name a few. Thank you for sharing.

Oh man I love Kimchi I know how many people can't stand the smell and the spiciness but I just love the stuff.

Especially when I eat out and have some Korean BBQ. Put some grilled pork, some bean sprouts, a little rice for carbs, put some kimchi and wrap it in crunchy lettuce and damn it's so good!

Omg thanks for reminding me that I have kimchi in my fridge!

What! Can you send me some haha... you probably got the β€œreal” version 😝

Sure! I bet it'll smell "real" good by the time it gets to you

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Is that stuff spicy.. or hot.. ?

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

A stock item in our refrigerator like sriracha sauce.
We buy ours from Trader Joe's in Sarasota, Florida.
Good stuff with a hell of an odor to those who don't like it.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

It does smell a little but the smell to me is like someone is cooking something good haha

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

@bluehorseshoe Sriracha is my favorite condiment :) You can just hold your nose lol... Some weird combination was made mac and cheese with Kimchi. It kind of tasted good.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I love Kimchi! The best appetizer and it's good for the heart too! :)β™₯

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Totally right, we're so Asian haha

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

@leahlei How is the kimchi good for our heart?

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Kimchi lowers blood pressure and also lowers the risk of heart disease!πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

That's really cool! I could use lower blood pressure.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yes, it is! :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Heard about kimchi around 2012, when I started watching Kdarama movies and it's love at first sight.
Salivating virtually, kimchi is a darling.
Gonna taste this one day, I am damn sure about that

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Gotta try it @cypher01, Mix it with some rice and it's all good from there lol

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Jeez, I don't think mixing it with rice will be a good advice, lol

I might try mystery stuff. I probably could find it in S.Florida

One of these days, well have a Steemit Meetup and I'll bring some kimchi haha :)

Fuchs! If someone likes your photo on Steepshot does it give you an upvote on steemit? Also Never tried kimchi before!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

What up Kyle! Yeah, it works both ways. However, Steepshot takes 15% of your payout for using them so that they can improve operations. It's very useful at times. Give d.tube and dlive a shot, I know you like doing videos lol

It’s all about the gut health. Kimchi is loaded with the good stuff. Keep eating those fermented foods.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

You hit the nail on the head! :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Don't they have Kimchi at McDonalds in Korea @stackin ??

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

never heard of Kimchi before, but if it is nutritional and it has natural body ingredients on it then i might look for it and see if it is good for my

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Give it a try, taste so good :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Helpful post sharing bro.... Love you kimchi...

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

@stackin I have eaten this from a jar as well but it was not very good. My korean friend tried some and verified it was not good. He said to eat the kind made at a restaurant. How is the kind you ate from a Trader Joes?

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

The one from trader joes tastes good compared to others. Your friend is right, the best ones are made at the Korean Markets. We have one in Vegas but it's like a 30 minute drive.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

I guess I will try the Trader Joes version sometime. I live in California and the nearest korean restaurant I know of is the same distance :") I will check out the fresh stuff when I can :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Can’t go wrong when it’s only $5 lol

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

No sir :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

What is going on @stackin?

I have a Trader Joe's in my neighborhood, I should go see if they have any in stock and try it.

Have fun man!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

In my store, its right next to the Kombucha drinks, it's just $5! πŸ˜€

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Kimchi is real good for the health (vitamins and mineral wise) but too much of it there is a risk factor!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

That's the truth, eating or drinking to much of anything has reverse effects. 😎

You like Kombucha?? Yak.. LOL. But hey, all the 60 years old peeps in Bali who drink this every day look like 30!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

time to get some more lol you just reminded me of it ;p

You so care about steemians which is pretty good and cool. I've never seen kimchi before so I've never tasted it and still don't know if it's even here in my country but I will find it

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Sir @stackin I don't know what is kimchi ? May be it is available in my area but with the different name and recipe. I will search if it is available or not. It is a challenge for me to know about kimchi.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful informations.

I love it too!!1 My fav;)

Muchas personas no consumen este tipo de productor por sus sabores, nuchos tienen un gusto fuerte y desagradable, mientras que otros se dejan comer.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yeah, because most people eat like shit and poison most of the time lol

lovely.........kimchi is quite amazing....Should in case you don't know.....kimchi is a low-calorie, low-fat food. ... As a vegetable-based food, kimchi contains only 2 grams of protein per serving and low amounts of carbohydrates and sugars, but it does have 2 grams of dietary fiber per 100 gram

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

The only thing it’s packs a lot of sodium but we all do need some sodium πŸ˜‚

You are right but do you know that Sodium is needed for muscle contractions, nerve transmissions, maintaining pH balance, and hydration. Sodium regulates the fluid outside of the cells and many more

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Would love to eat some Kimachi. Hearing about this for the very first time.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Really? Yeah, I grew up on this stuff and to me it tastes great! Try it out sometime 😬

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I need to try this stuff..

nice

holly cow!

I am not really sure what this is, is if a condiment that you put on other food or is it a side dish like applesauce? I am very curious about this, and is it hot people in my house like hot suff. Thanks

Kimchi is good stuff.

Hi ;) I'm Korean and it's great to see kimchi in steemit!
Thanks for your interest in Korean food!
There are more delicious foods in Korea so you should visit Korea and try some!

Yessssss! I LOVE me some kimchi and the Trader Joe's one is awesome! I like making cauliflower "fried rice" and putting the kimchi on top or mixing it in - so delicious and healthy!

And I'm all about that Kombucha drank too haha, Trader Joe's used to have a mango one that was so good but sadly it disappeared :(

Keep up the great work on your health and fitness journey - so glad to hear it's going well for you!

Man I love kimchi, but boy does it make you gassy!
Maybe not a food you'd want to eat on a date ahah

How does it smell

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Lived in South Korea for 4 years and Kimchi is still one of my favorite foods. Super packed with probiotics and a really great taste. Kimchi Jigae or Kimchi stew is still one of my favorite Korean dishes. So good during cold winters.
:)
