This is a good call. Steemit will soon be a paid membership platform over the next years. This is just my opinion but the users keep growing by the day and soon the coin price will start taking off, drawing more people to the platform and it cost the blockchain to create an account now. When the coin is $10 each, the blockchain will spend thousands of USD a day creating accounts. It's only fair and the best way to keep the platform thriving.

Great stuff! I love what's happening in this community. Yesterday I was thinking about a few awesome ideas I've come across here and just thinking about it created a few great ideas in my mind. I just joined Steemit superstars. I'm thinking of investing money in steem power myself. Not close to that extent, but as much as I can as often as I can.
