HEY STACKERS!

A few months ago, I ran into a website that I found on Twitter that measures "The Fear & Greed Index" for Bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies. 👻

What does this "Fear and Greed Index" Measure? Everyday, they analyze the emotions and sentiments from different sources and crunch them into one simple number. 🔢

Where are we at Today? Here are the stats:

Now: Extreme Fear (21)
Yesterday: Extreme Fear (18)
Last week: Extreme Fear (25)
Last month: Fear (39)

By looking at the charts, the markets tend to rebound huge when most people are Extremely Fearful at a rating below 10.

How accurate are these guys? Are their sources reliable? Who Knows! Here is a snapshot of how they measure the fear and greed in the markets.

The market is taking a huge tumble right now as I write this. Can we go much lower? I believe we can but it's a possibility that we can bounce from here for a day or two. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah, there's fear out there, but what is it based on? Like lemmings following each other over a cliff... We need to all just take a deep breath. We've been here before (remember the drop in Bitcoin from $1200 in nov 2013 to $200 in mar 2015 and back to $1200 in mar 2017) No matter where it ends up it will recover. Relax We've seen this movie before...

Who knows lol That’s the funny thing about crypto, all the experts in the world predict this or predict that...

just buckle up and enjoy the ride lol (at least that’s what I tell myself instead of looking at my blockfolio lol)

As we go lower the fear should decrease as our holdings can't go below zero, thus there is more upside. Easier said than done with regards to taking that view at times like these I suppose.

Nothing is certain, so I choose to go with my guts, which is telling me right now to buy! Price is not the only indicator of the health of a firm. in my opinion, steemit is a platform driven by innovation and technology, so it is only reason to think that they will bounce back. Although there is the fear factor, I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

Cool post man. Everything moves in cycles, "usually." Crypto is new territory- heck, even the markets are not really following anything resembling normal. :-) I will have to check out the Fear and Greed Index for sure.
