✴️ YES, I LIVE IN LAS VEGAS! WHERE ARE YOU FROM? 🌎

It's not what you do that makes you successful, it's the action you do everyday that does ~ Charles Fuchs.

What's Up STACKERS!

For the past couple of years, The Steemit Platform has connected hundreds of thousands of people across the world... and it's been a delight to getting to know many of you.

As some of you guys already know, I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada for over 16+ years. Yeah, the place where people call  "Sin City" with the Slogan... "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas" 🀣

There's a lot of misconception about Las Vegas. So many people think it's just a place of debauchery which is not even the case. Yeah, Vegas was built with that philosophy but over the last couple of decades, it's not what it seems to be. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

To me, Las Vegas is one of the best places to live in the United States but without all the negatives people talk about.Β

There are so may benefits living here, you may say to yourself "WTH.. are you serious?"Β Yes, most people only see Las Vegas Strip which is only 2 miles long containing just entertainment but outside of that, it's freaking awesome.

Here are some of the great things about Las Vegas:

  • No State Taxes
  • Cheap Housing (My Mansion is cheap lol)
  • Great Weather, It hardly ever rains here... the sun be blazin' β˜€οΈ
  • Best Entertainment and Food you can buy, 5 Star Kinda Action!
  • The Best Conventions for Entrepreneurs
  • Great Airport Hub for easy travel anywhere
  • Family Members visit often 🀣
  • Traffic is non-existent to most cities
  • Lake Mead and Mt. Charleston (Summer and Winter Fun)Β
  • Tons of Billion Dollar Resorts
  • So many other things, let your imagination run wild

Vegas was built on money and guess what that does? It brings innovation and growth to the city. What do they say? Always follow the money and you will live a better life. 😬

Will I live here the rest of my life? It will probably be my main "HUB" for a long time. However, I heard people are building crypto "Cities/Locations" across the road. I'll probably change my thinking decades down the road but in the meantime, this is the spot.Β

So the question is, where are you guys from?Β

I'm looking forward to your comments! Also be sure to get engage with people who replies on this post, you never know who you can get to know better on here. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

I love living in Vegas, it has a little bit of everything, it is like living in a small town disguised as a big city.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

People just don’t know vegas, they just see the strip πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yes definitely, it is very rare that I go to the strip, especially since my kids were born

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Good ol' Duluth MN right now.
Hoping to move to the Minneapolis area once I can get enough passive income coming in!

Lmao! My fiance is also on steemit

Lol I said I USED to live there, but had the good sense to run for my life :-) It is just such a small city it was surprising to see someone else from there.

I am from Belgrade, capital of Serbia...It is a beautiful city and it's about 2 Million people if you include the all the small cities around it.
We have a great Ada lake, where over 1 million people come to swimming, sunbathing and other summer attractions

Ada Ciganlija is one of the most visited places in Belgrade, and for a good reason. You can go swimming, biking, rollerblading or just enjoy a walk by the lake. The place is full of bars and restaurants and most of them work all year long. During the summer it can get crowded with a seaside atmosphere.

100% accurate!!! I just purchased a home in Las Vegas as well! Although I have only been living here for 6 years. The one thing that I would add that is a huge huge plus is it's a 24/7 town! I'm from Milwaukee where everything closes early, it's incredibly annoying once you get used to a 24/7 town! I get all my groceries late at night when there is hardly another person in the store, it saves so much time not having to wait in lines!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Great to meet another local Steemian! So right, it's a 24 hour town. Nothing ever closes :)

I’m from Morocco πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦

Heard there's lots of money there lol

I am from Bangladesh.
@stackin LAS VEGAS is a resort city in Nevada’s Mojave Desert close to the borders of California and Arizona.
i love this city...

Vegas spawned out of the sand, from nothing but a desire to create something great. There is no other city in the world like it. It is beyond over-the-top.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Thanks Bugsy! He had a vision.

I’m currently living in Florida. An hour north of Miami. We also live in a state free tax state. I’m 15 minuets from the beach. I am waiting for long over due visit from you mister!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I may visit in the summer time. My spots are ocean drive but most of the rooms there are shit but it’s lovley lol

CAnnot wait!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I live here in Las Vegas too. I am a local stand-up comedian, I work on and off the Strip. I’d love to meetup some time. I tell everyone about Steemit and Steem, Dtube, all of it all the time. I’m learning still but I am about to go full time on Steemit and just have my Steemit posts zapped via zapier to Facebook and all that, I am tired of their censorship and them making money from my and our content. Steemit is for the Users, and I’m all about that! 37C33CE5-52CC-412F-A088-F0FFE63608FE.jpeg

Sin City, heh? only been there for a quick gamble ... but seems as there would be other things to explore too... maby I shouldda come and take a look at it from a different perspective...

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Lots of people don't know that I'm half German (FUCHS) LOL ... Never been to Germany, might have to put that on my bucket list 😎

defo worth it buddy... even if you donΒ΄t like Germany you will have all close by as travelling in Europe is easy and fast

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Broome, Australia, has one of the top 10 beaches in th world...cable beach...population 15000, nearest city 1500 miles away

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I heard it awesome there! Isn’t the minimum wage like $18 and you guys get paid holidays lol... I have no idea, I left the β€œsystem” 20 years ago πŸ˜‚

Residents remain there because of the weather and the affordability of living, and Lack of traffic congestion,Which can not be matched by other cities or offer similar job opportunities. The warm and dry desert climate is a major attraction whereas The weather is always sunny, and we do not really have to follow weather forecasts. If the rain falls, it will be short and beautiful too

Beautiful things I love in a city Las Vegas:

I am from Morocco .
it is a beautiful country is a beautiful country for tourism but most people prefer to go abroad

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

That’s what I heard also! That’s a place on my bucket list! 😎

I am from Bangladesh.Today i came to know about a completely new vegas, i used to know vegas as a sin city where all kinds of adult things happens. But after your statement about the facilities it seems to me its a pretty cool place to live.Thank's for the post.@upvoted andresteemed.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

It changed a lot, people visit Las Vegas now for the shopping, food, and the resorts now instead of the drinkin and partying lol

Hi @stackin, I have to admit that Las Vegas is only place in USA that I'd really like to visit when I have more money than sense. Also would love to have a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. On my bucket list.

I live in a small town on the coast on England, in East Sussex, UK, where life stops after 7pm!

I'm in Central California staying safe cause Forbes tells me I'm in a city that is one of the 10 most dangerous U.S. cities.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Vegas has one of the most dangerous streets in the USA, I think it’s the top 10, I drive by it all the time, it looks peaceful lol

This is a wise post! I'm sure, people think about cities like so many other things on patterns. For example: Las Vegas is a city of sins, bears walk around Moscow and so on. And only a person, who lives in this city, can correctly and truthfully characterize it

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Such facts, most people only see the two miles of the Las Vegas strip, it’s amazing though lol

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

5 stars strippers? LOL. Kidding bro.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

6 Stars haha

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I'm living in Germany, very close to the border of the BLACK FOREST. A very quiet area.
Best regards to Las Vegas.

I hail from Malaysia, specifically, Borneo. Its sun, sea and great food all year round!

I'm from Duluth, MN originally, Lived in MPLS for awhile.... moved to Cocoa FL for about 6 years and now I'm in Texas! whoo hoo

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Vegas is a hub for sure! I'm on the East coast... cold and damp over here!

Never went to USA, it's on my list of places to go, and Las Vegas is one of them, Sin City... i got plenty of sins to commit there :P
I'm from Portugal, even though i love my country and more or less love my fellow countryman i hate my government, our government are ruining Portugal one year at a time, but i guess this is happening all over the world...
When you change to one of those CryptoCities do tell, we can be neighbours! The first round of drinks is on me!...all the others are yours xD

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Wow.. So Vegas is this awesome! I hope to visit there..

I'm from Nigeria, i currently live in Kaduna State but i will be leaving by April.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yeah, its a place people need to visit at least once πŸ˜€

I live in the North Caucasus city of Nalchik. This is a very beautiful though not as big as LV city, it is very green! More than 10,000 rose bushes blooming every year there are different colors and varieties. There are many sanatoriums, rest homes and hospitals, and not far from our handsome ELBRUS!

ATL in the house here!...I think we theres probably more action in Vegas but its much prettier here all the green trees and wildlife...moved from so cal I got tired of the desert! haha

Vegas would have to be the most Libertarian place in the whole US. A few things there that are legal but nowhere else. Personal freedom!

I am from Algeria but I live in Russia, in the town called Rostov on Don and we will have FIFA 2018 here because Rostov Arena stadium is really and it can hold more than 45000 watchers. ☺

I am in the Sunshine State @stackin.

East coast about an hour from Orlando.

We get a lot of sun here but when the wind starts to blow, man does it blow. Brings a lot of water with it...some from the sky, some from the sea.

Near Cocoa? That is where I lived :-)

Down the road a bit...work in Melb...live in IHB.

Cool not far from where I was. I'm in TX now and really missing the FL weather. I think Key West was my favorite city!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

I'm from Montreal, Canada. One of my art patrons lives in Henderson, NV. I'm going to visit him in April. He's a carver/sculptor himself and knows a lot about mold making. Part of the reason I'm going to see him is to see about making molds to do some poured silver (maybe gold?) Mandalas. All you gold & silver folks on here have given me some cool ideas of how I could apply my art to precious metals, stoked to see how it develops!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Henderson is Nice! Just a few miles from the strip. Nevada is called the Silver State for a reason lol

Just a small city in Central Wisconsin. Pick a direction to go and soon there are Farms, Forests, Fields.

I am from Galati, Romania! Now my question to you is: what do you know about Romania? without searching google: P

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Hardly nothing, just heard they have great food there lol

Indeed the food is very good and many beautiful women! lol
I also think you've heard about Dracula: P

I am your neighbor Charles @stackin, Scottsdale, Arizona very much like Vegas but we have State Taxes.....

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yeah, my brother use to live in Gilbert Arizona. It’s no Vegas tho lol

is he a Mormon ???

I am Nigerian, presently in Ondo State. Vegas has always been on my bucket list. I hope i still get to "sin" a little in vegas because whatever happen in vegas stays in vegas πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

When ever you make it here... hit me up, the drinks are on me lol

i'm getting ready to move to Henderson NV

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Great location, they have an awesome resort there called Green Valley Ranch! Maybe a future Steemit meetup location? πŸ˜‚

Love Vegas. One of my favorite cities in America for sure. And very accessible for anyone trying to get there. And so much going on there every single day. Love what you said about it being a great place to do business....So many conventions and meetings....

I'm in the complete opposite of hot desert heat. Currently freezing my rear end off in Edmonton Canada but originally from Toronto.

Which I'm very biased towards :)

Canada - great place to live in the summer. Can't stand it in winter.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I use to live in Alaska and Colorado... Just can’t stand it anymore, the snow that is haha

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yeah las Vegas is cool, but I live in Los Angeles California which is a great place to live in and it's also fun...

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I currently live in Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria, largest city in west Africa. , the pace setters state , almost every major establishment in the country started in the city ,
Cheap housing
Very great weather
Low traffic, well compared to Lagos
Tons of million dollar resorts
A very fun place to be with , peaceful too!!!

Yay!!! I am Nigerian too, but i stay in Ondo, Ibadan is fun to be in minus the dirt πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€. Keep steeming brother!!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Las Vegas,,, I just head about it and see it in pictures and videos..
I always have this idea that Las Vegas is only for wealthy tourists around the word.
I live in a small city called Azilal, in the very middle of Morocco and wishing to be in Las Vegas someday soon.

I live in the Pacific Northwest :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I'm from Portugal. I live in a city called Seixal, which is located on the other side of the river from Lisbon.

Greetings straight outta Crypto-Valley - Switzerland! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

very good post,@stackin

From USA πŸ˜ƒ

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Vegas was never on my wish list for places to see because of such label "sin city" But seems you have re-educated me to think otherwise. From Durban, South Africa. Nice weather, sunshine most of the time, not very cold winters, moderate rains.

very good post,@stackin

Ha I always knew there was more to Vegas than just the strip. I'll have to visit there one day. I'm from Orlando Florida and people think it's all Disney. It's pretty centrally located so you can day trip to quite a few places.
It ain't just all about the mouse lol

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Hi @stackin! I am from the Philippines! :) Don't know if you'll still be able to read this...

I'm from Rome, Italy but i lived in Houston for 4 years.
I love this place, I never felt alone here, never felt to give up.

Nice! It's been a while since I've been to Las Vegas but looking forward to visiting for the Steem Creators Conference. Seems like a nice place to live too. Cheers!

It's quite difficult grow nowadays, but we have to keep doing the great job, it will worth it in the future.

I'm close 50 reputation. Powering Up all my rewards. I hope i can grow here, even with brazilian posts which have less people to reach than englishs posts.

Vegas was built on extracting money from people by using their vices against them. Yes, I lived there for 15 years and worked in a few different casinos over that time and that was the entire goal from a house perspective. Keep 'em in their chair (gambling) for as long as possible, that is just one aspect. The corporate takeover really changed Vegas in the early 90s, and not (always) for the better, especially for the locals. Then I started traveling overseas regularly and decided to dump everything in 2007 and move abroad. Best decision I ever made, and the timing couldn't have been better since housing prices collapsed shortly after. Vegas was fun while I was there, and I still have family and a lot of friends there, but I rarely travel back to the states and don't really miss it. Things I don't miss: junk mail filling my mailbox, telemarketers, overpriced cable/internet, watching TV with ridiculous amounts of ads, usually about some pharmaceutical drug, Nevada Power rates always going up, driving, paying insurance (on anything), taxes, airport security (TSA) just to name a few. There are pros and cons to living abroad as an expat, but it has some nice benefits I didn't even think about until I did it. Now, it would be very hard to return to Vegas, or anywhere in the U.S. for that matter.

I'm from Madagascar, proud to be the first malagasy on Steemit haha! :)
