Balanced and fair?

Believe it or not, I would have been about the best juror possible on the Derek Chauvin trial.

On one hand, I have zero respect for members of the Blue Line Gang. I want them held totally accountable for everything they do, and I am not deluded into imagining that a badge grants "extra rights".

On the other hand, I don't like the prosecution winning, ever. It always feels like a win for the state. My automatic bias is to declare "not guilty" in every case so as to not reward the state.

In other words, I would be completely hostile to both sides. That's about as balanced as anyone could be.

It would be pretty cool if you were, but of course the left leaning radicals will likely try to smear you if they found out what you decided.

And the right leaning radicals would smear me for being anti-cop. So I'd be caught in the middle.

I wonder if you would get through any jury selections.

The prosecution and defense attorneys say, simultaneously, as if they were speaking as one
"We would like to ask the court to dismiss Mr. Dullhawk".

No, I wouldn't.
Interestingly enough, I have only gotten 3 notices to show up for jury duty in my life, when other people in my family have gotten many of them. And the only time the case actually went to trial I was one of those initially selected, but one of the attorneys dismissed me immediately.
And I hadn't even spoken of fija.org
Actually, this was 30 years ago. I was less radical then (but not much less).
