The position below arose in one of my games while I took part in my first chess open (in St. Ingbert, Germany). These days with white very often I played the so called Trompovsky Attack which most of the time leads to unbalanced and unclear positions. That was also the case this time: the pawn shield in front of my king got already damaged, but fortunately black wasn't able to concentrate some pieces near my king. Also blacks defensive stance didn't appear really solid anymore, but at a first glance it also didn't seem to be so easy to find a breakthrough. What did I play as white to get a clear advantage though?

Danke Jaki, endlich mal wieder Abwechslung.

By the way, how do you continue after 1. Nxg6 Nxg6 2. Qh5 Kg7 3. Rh7+ Kg8 ?

Right, 4. Rh8+ would win, too, but even stronger is 4. Qh6!
In the game after 1. Nxg6 black played 1. ... Kg7, but after 2. Qh5 blacks position was lost.
Well done: you and @afrog could solve the chess problem of today! :)

Actually, I think it's not that easy to find this nice combination in a tournament game. Well done! :)
