Grandpa the Rooster on My Hobby Farm

I am a hobby farmer, I raise show quality chickens in fairly small numbers.  I breed 3 different breeds, and my own project birds.  One of my favorite Roosters is my Blue Copper Marans Rooster, Grandpa.  He is a big tough rooster who spends his time minding the flock, keeping the younger roosters inline and watching over the ladies.  Grandpa is old and set in his ways, he won't sleep in the coop he prefers to sleep on the brush near the coop where he can keep an eye on everything while the flock sleeps quietly in the coop.

With the weather cooling down, I haven't been outside as much. I got off of SteemIt long enough to start some laundry, do my farm chores and take the dogs for a walk. When I got outside I noticed gnarly, old Grandpa  pressed into the corner between the deck and the house.  He was hunkered down and not looking well at all.  He is usually strutting around minding the hens. Of course I was worried. I put the dogs back on the deck and went to see what was wrong with him. That is when I noticed the dryer exhaust vent was blowing right on him. 

 Wise ole' rooster, figured out how to get a little extra heat!
