Learning place for children in scavengers of Aceh

"Taman Pendidikan Anak Pemulung" is a learning place for children in scavengers' families in Kampung Jawa Village, Banda Aceh City and its surroundings.*

Scavengers are the work of environmental heroes, yet full of health and safety risks. But it is a choice that must be run to meet the needs of life.

Sometimes this work keeps their entire days out to work by involving all family members, not infrequently children are also involved.

This one side is part of learning work for their children, on the other hand it actually makes the learning spirit decrease even the focus is no longer achievement. Finally, even the motivation of the family to learn decreases.

The establishment of the social organization began in 2012 the young people of Banda Aceh City, which was coordinated by Aiyub Bustamam and Maulidar Yusuf by involving all volunteers from various circles to establish Taman Pendidikan Anak Pemulung Gampong Jawa.

This Education Park focuses on providing non-formal education for children from poor families, can be one of the solutions to support the educational progress of children with economic limitations. It is supported by creative learning model in nature.

Initially learning is done on the banks of rivers, home pages and places that allow for learning. However, almost entering this seventh year, there is a great hope from the board and all the teaching volunteers to make this Child Education Park Pemulung has a permanent place.

The need for a permanent place is to facilitate the implementation of teaching and learning process more smoothly and effectively, and should have a library of reading that can be enjoyed by children when they like.
