Childhood lies I fell for

Growing up as a child so oblivious of responsibilities, stress and the harsh reality of life is something I always look back to with a smile on my face because of how much I cherish them, and more so is due to the fact that i grew up with a number of other children in the community like you would find in any typical rugged(ajepkako) Nigerian neighbourhood, so there was basically no kind of play I didn't do unlike what some children have these days growing up with only computer games although that's not where I am going to today. Rather my focus for today are the lies we told each other and really believed, I know some of us can relate with this so here are some of mine

1 you will turn into a ghost if you look at the mirror at 12am

2 you will see ghost walking with their heads if you bent over to look in the middle of a market place
3 an orange tree will grow on you head if you swallowed it's seed
4 if you didn't throw you tooth on the zinc a good one will not grow back
5if you wave your hands to a group of white birds (Lekeleke) flying in the sky it would bless you with spots on your fingers

I know you also had childhood lies. Let's hear yours
