I’m @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. I hope you're all doing well and having a great day. Today, I’m excited to participate in the SEC S20W3/Creative Work by a Child contest organized by @anailuj1992. Let’s get started🤗💞🌸🌼.
Yesterday, I was casually scrolling through Instagram when I came across a video . In the video, they had created a beautiful craft, and I thought to myself that the materials used in the video were available at home, so I should give it a try.
At the same time, I remembered that there was a contest on Steemit where we were supposed to showcase a creative skill by making a craft. But then I thought about the details of the contest and read that the craft should be created with kids.
Since we don't have any small children at home, I got the idea to invite the neighbor's kids to participate. So, I sent my mom to call the neighbor's children so that I could make the craft for the post, and I started gathering the materials, such as cardboard sheets.
Meanwhile , My mother brought the neighbor's children, who were three sisters, and the ages of these three sisters were between four and seven and eight years old.
I also sat the children down with some paint so they could keep painting alongside me and tell me about their favorite colors while helping me. I made the craft myself, but since the kids were small, I kept them around to guide me with their color choices while they played.
First, I cut out the letters "HOME" from the cardboard using a cutter. I had drawn the letters with a pencil first and then cut them out with the cutter.
After cutting out the word "HOME," I asked one of the kids which color I should use. She suggested pink because it's often a favorite among girls, so I chose that color and started painting the letters. After painting the "HOME" letters, I set them aside to dry.
I had some computer sheets lying around and asked the kids to choose a color each. One picked green, another chose yellow, and the third selected brown.I then used glue to paste these sheets onto the strips of cardboard.
I then cut out some straight lines from the cardboard and prepared two long strips to paste the letters onto. Once the strips were ready, I pasted the four letters of "HOME" onto the long strip and set them aside to dry.
On the right side of the craft, I needed to add a flower. So, I asked the kids which color sheets I should use for the leaves and flower. They suggested green and yellow, so I cut out green leaves and a yellow flower from the computer sheets and pasted them onto the craft.
While waiting for the letters to dry, I used a black marker to draw some plant designs on the craft, just like I had seen in the video. It turned out exactly like in the video. Finally, my craft was complete!
Then I used double-sided tape to stick it up in my room. I placed it in a spot where I had previously made a similar craft some time ago, so I thought it would look good next to it. I stuck it on the wall, and it looked very pretty.
Ask the child what their favorite material was during the process and why? Feel free to tell us about the best moments they experienced while making this piece.
In the craft I created for my room's decoration, I made a piece that is very colorful. Since I already had a similar craft with a geometric design, I thought, why not create another one? If I place it alongside the first one, it will look great. As a result, my room's wall looks quite beautiful, and seeing it makes me feel really good.
While I was working on my craft, the children were painting on an art board and various pages. They particularly loved using paint, especially black and red colors, which two of the kids were really fond of. In fact, they were even fighting over those colors.
During this time, the children had a lot of fun and really enjoyed themselves. They also told me that just yesterday they had watched a video on YouTube where a man was painting in a similar way, and they felt really happy to be able to do it themselves with their own hands.
That's it from today's blog I hope you will like it. With best wishes ❤️. Now I like to invite @tammanna, @norat and @neelofar to participate in this amazing contest.
