People all over China are so busy that they can't spare a single moment to spend for their family recreation let alone cooking food for own. Such moments come only on a holiday. The Chinese want to start their off-day morning with some popular, traditional food. In fact, all family members get involved in the workshop in a merry-mind. "Dumpling with Porridge" is such a item that all Chinese all over the country want to in a good, shiny morning. Dumpling is something
round, its obviously a steamed one. The dumpling is stuffed with seasoned pork. Then the whole dumpling is steamed in piles of bamboo. These kind of bamboo piles are often seen stacked up by the restaurant entrance. Such hot, steamed
dumplings are best eaten with a bowl of savory porridge usually made of rice. Porridge is a thick, stacky thing alike 'Pudding'. Rice porridge is made by boiling up and up the rice adding more water with a little salt until the porridge gets the real taste. The whole thing is served with a dip. The Chinese sometimes swear by soy-sauce, other time they never
dip their dumpling in anything but the best vinegar. The whole process of making "Dumpling with Porridge" is such a lengthy and time costing that these days the chinese can not spare seconds even in holidays to prepare it. The favourite item is now sold in all kind of food-stalls as a solution to get them the taste. And its like a hot cake all over China.
