Happy Chinese New Year

Here is a special greeting I made for all those celebrating the Chinese New Year. This year is said to be the year of the dog hence the character I drew.

Part of my daily quick drawing challenge is designing characters. This dog drawing is just one of them. I want to create something small and this breed of a dog is what I chose for this challenge. I want him to show the qualities of a hard-working and ambitious person. This character is what I named Nas. That is how short the name is. Nas is a no nonsense type of character, he doesn't beat around the bush nor sugarcoats anything. He calls it as it is because he doesn't find any value in trying to be polite or considerate about other people's feelings. For Nas, you can disagree without being disagreeable. In other words he is very practical and can shrug off all criticisms quickly without being negatively affected.
