Second spy balloon spotted over Latin America, says Pentagon, as Blinken postpones China trip

Why won't the government shoot down a Chinese spy balloon currently floating above the US and around our ICBM fields? They claim to be protecting citizens from the balloon crashing by waiting to shoot it down until it reaches the Atlantic Ocean. Yet the balloon is over Montana which has more cattle than humans so who exactly are they protecting? Not to mention the fact that shooting it over the Atlantic Ocean ensures no average person can witness the event up close. China claims that it came here accidentally, however, not only do we know the balloon has a propulsion system, we now are seeing two separate balloons in one day. Seems to be more than just a coincidence...
