choon.co music service has closed down, no prior warning, it is in a sense a good thing as they had failed in all areas of customer satisfaction and withdrawing $Notes was made impossible and the numbers of visitors to the site had plummeted to an all time low.
The overall site layout and quality of the uploading speeds and playback were amazing, but it just never paid from the get go they couldn't even be bothered to produce an ios and android app and this in turn I think played into it's downfall.
It was an etherium music streaming service hosted on the etherium network, you earned choon notes or $Notes as payment requiring a metamask or erc20 wallet to withdraw, it was run by and introduced by Gareth Emery a known pro dj and then fell into the hands of a partner at choon , there after all the problems began.
They hit hard on certain major contributors pulling down random accounts supposedly due to certain unsavory means of earning and sharing content that choon claimed that these particular members were supposed to have been utilising that was a contradiction to the sites rules.
This caused a huge uproar amongst the existing members and those removed account holders who lost all their notes.
The service was then continually plagued by down time and apaling staff email support replies most of which were never even replied to what so ever.
To further impact worse on all members the value of notes to plays ratio then fell less than any known streaming service online which meant nothing was worth adding to the site as it wouldn't earn hardly anything per play it was neolithically battered beaten bruised by loss of users and just all round a giant sh@t show by then.
Yes it was a good site oozing with potential but badly managed.
Well any way enough of the moaning and remeniscing, only today has a page gone back up persuading members to switch over to Emenate they have partnered with to keep the dream alive apparently?
Not sure how Emenate fairs at all but if you want to keep those $Notes you have previously earned on choon.co you will have to dictate how many $Notes you have on your account during the application to and setup of your Emenate choon account and $Notes transfer process, a stupid idea how can you remember the exact amount you had if you can't access the choon.co account information as the site is closed???
I know I had 207,000+ $Notes at the time of closing or there about, I put my account info into the Emenate choon switch over information window and said I have 207,00 $Notes as my amount to transfer so lets see what support say as I also emailed Ementae support team seperately explaining my balance of choon $Notes is 207,000 something notes but that I cannot be exact to the decimal place as the window has a decimal indication for precise amounts to punch in.
Got a feeling they will say it's not happening but we will see?

It's only appeared in recent hours so I would immediately go for a switch just to see if it can be made possible to retain earnings.
Let's hope the account transfers and the whole setup and exchange of prior $Notes works in the artists favour this time with Emenate? I hope they can carry us forward and make us some actual money this time and not take away money/refuse to withdraw your earnings/have a decent respectable and timely fashion email support service I will see soon enough if i can get my funds over, hopefully it will bring with it a flurry of visitors and an increase in earnings and payouts across the the board at Emenate?
