Paul against the pagans: You are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30

The apostle Paul described in all his epistles the problems that the early Church faced, and his writings are a kind of spiritual window to those turbulent times when Christianity was considered a strange spiritual doctrine from the East.
And it was in the country of Greece where Christianity found its strongest obstacle, a country that the apostle Paul as a born-again Christian in the name of Jesus visited on his second missionary journey. It was the custom of the Greeks not only to worship their own gods, but also to follow their own teacher of philosophy, this remarkable science in the times of Jesus had reached its peak with teachers of the stature of Aristotle and Plato.
And in this way, a notable mixture of Eastern and Western ideas began to take place, a mixture that ended with the spiritual studies of Saint Thomas and Saint Augustine who achieved a synthesis between Greek philosophy and Christian theology.
And this synthesis that was beginning to take place in the early church had a special significance for Paul; in the message of the gospels as in the Book of Job, the purely human wisdom could not aspire to find all the answers and something more was needed. This is why at the beginning of his first epistle to the Corinthians Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles, wisely expressed for the conversion of the pagans and the instruction of the new believers: "Even when God is foolish, he is wiser than everyone else, and even when God is weak, he is stronger than everyone else" 1 Corinthians 1:25.
And then to affirm faith over all human wisdom and philosophy, he taught about the superiority of Christ: "You are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption" 1 Corinthians 1:30.
