It may be true that #Christmas is merely a commercial date. It may be that Pope Julius some centuries after the actual birth of the #Christ, without knowledge of the actual date, resolved to place it at #December 25, thus imposing the #Cross at the heart of the winter solstice pagan festivities of Horus, Ra, Baldr, Saturn, Mithras and whatnot. The fact remains, the Christ, #Jesus of Nazareth, was a historical figure, a real, flesh and bone person, while all those myths were not. A person of course who came as a vessel of the glory of the unseen, Most High #God, a #Saviour that was born unto us:

For in him lives all the fullness of God in human form.

(Colossians 2:9)

Also:

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (Issaiah 9:6)

More importantly, even though it becomes a last week of the year filled with gifts, and lights, and parties and all, even though it is effectively a festivity of the globalized World and at times distant from the actual Christ, the fact is that Jesus #Messiah was born (either December 25, in spring, in autumn, or whatever), and that our hearts are changed once HE starts a relationship with us.
