We are not promised a pain-free experience in our walk with God. In fact, we are promised challenges, difficulties, and trials. However, in addition to the eventual eternal healing that the Lord will bring about in the new heavens and new earth, there is healing available to us in this life. Judges teaches us that God left enemies in the land of Canaan in order for the Israelites to grow in strength and courage. Brothers and sisters: we are called to be overcomers! We can only overcome through the power of God, the word of our testimonies, and the name of Jesus. We can overcome fear, anxiety, rejection, and even past wounds. Not only can they be overcome, but Jesus can demonstrate His faithfulness and strengthen our faith in the process. We must earnestly confront and understand these challenges and dynamics in order to experience healing and to make a difference in this generation!

Now these are the nations which the Lord left, that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan (this was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formerly known it), namely, five lords of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites who dwelt in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon to the entrance of Hamath. And they were left, that He might test Israel by them, to know whether they would obey the commandments of the Lord, which He had commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

Judges 3:1-4

That has nothing to do with Christians. God doesn't promise us healing in this life. Far from it. Paul had problems with his eyes. Timothy had stomach trouble.
